Hey, I'm Jaimie Z., IBCLC

Hey, MamaBear! As a natural minded Mama of 5, military wife, and nurse, when my kids were born, I knew the importance of breastfeeding, but underestimated how challenging it could be without the right support system in place.

After helping moms across the country navigate breastfeeding challenges, and working through my own breastfeeding challenges, I've learned a few things that God is calling me to share with you.

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), my mission is to help you shut out the toxic lies of the world telling you all the reasons you can't breastfeed, and help you unlock the power in working with your & your baby's God-given design to achieve breastfeeding success.

Breastfeeding isn't always perfect, but when you have the right support system, and trust your intuition, you can create a positive breastfeeding story.

I'm here to help you uncover the root cause of your feeding challenges & implement solutions that work, and confidently advocate for quality healthcare, so you can prevent & overcome unexpected breastfeeding challenges without feeling broken, alone and helpless.

If you're ready to start ENJOYING breastfeeding and BONDING with your baby, book your appointment now!

Here's what other moms say

  • What should I do to prepare for my virtual consult?
Once you book, you’ll receive a detailed guide on how to prepare—including how to submit videos, what lighting and camera angles work best, and how to have everything set up (like baby, pillows, or pump) before we start. Preparing ahead helps us make the most of your session time.
  • Can you REALLY help me virtually?
Absolutely, I can help you virtually—and many moms are surprised just how effective it can be! During your virtual lactation consult, you're not just getting generic advice. You're getting one-on-one, personalized care, tailored to your specific situation—just like you would in person. Here’s what to expect: 🔍 Before the consult: You’ll fill out a secure intake form and have the chance to upload short videos or photos of your baby feeding, latching, or sucking on your finger. This allows me to assess things like latch, suck function, positioning, and oral movement—so we don’t waste any time during our visit. 💻 During the session: We’ll connect via a private, HIPAA-compliant video call. I’ll walk you through a holistic review of both your health and your baby’s. We’ll look at feeding together in real time (if baby’s ready), go over any red flags, and build a custom plan that aligns with your goals. 🤱 After the consult: Some families benefit from follow-up sessions, while others feel confident continuing with the support I provide through follow-up messaging. You’ll have access to email or chat support to answer questions that pop up afterward. So yes—virtual consults work. With the right prep and expert eyes guiding you, it can be just as impactful (and sometimes more convenient) than an in-person visit.
  • What if my insurance isn't accepted?
No worries—you can still book as a self-pay client. My self-pay rates are: 💲$150 for an initial consultation 💲$125 for follow-up visits FSA/HSA eligible & may seek reimbursement with Superbill I also offer a 10% military discount to honor and support military families
  • Do you accept health insurance?
Yes, I accept certain insurance plans for lactation consultations. When you click to book, you’ll be asked to upload your insurance information. We’ll verify your benefits and let you know what’s covered before your visit. If your plan is in-network, your consult may be fully covered at no cost to you. If your plan is not working with us, you may use FSA/HSA or Self Pay and you will receive a superbill for possible reimbursement.
  • What kinds of concerns can be addressed in a virtual visit?
Most feeding issues can be addressed virtually, including painful latch, slow weight gain, oversupply, low milk supply, pumping concerns, bottle feeding, and more. If I believe your baby needs in-person evaluation (like for bodywork or a tongue tie release), I’ll refer you to a trusted provider in your area.
  • How do I book?
Click the "Get Started" button and fill out the brief form with your insurance or self-pay details. We’ll verify your benefits (if using insurance) or confirm your payment, then send you a private link to schedule your consultation at a time that works for you.
  • What's a prenatal lactation consultation for?
Pregnant moms with unique concerns about breastfeeding, who struggled with breastfeeding in the past, have breast implants or reduction, PCOS, Diabetes, Infertility Challenges, and other unique situations may feel a private 1:1 breastfeeding prep meeting is helpful. Prenatal consultations screen for red flags, and can help you create a personalized plan for achieving YOUR breastfeeding goals.
  • How long will this class take to work?
You can binge this course in under an hour, or space it out as needed... Your experience will depend on your unique situation and unique needs. Some moms will need extra support and guidance while others will just need one puzzle piece to click into place for instant results.
  • Is this for pregnant moms or breastfeeding moms who already gave birth?
This class is geared toward moms whose baby is already here who are struggling with breastfeeding. If you're pregnant and struggled in the past, this class can help set you up for a better experience this time.
  • Is there ongoing support?
The Fix Your Latch Workshop is a self-paced, down and dirty guide to figuring out your latching issues. If you find out you need more than a simple fix and need further support, you can upgrade to the full Latching With Confidence course or book a 1:1 consult.
  • Is this covered by insurance?
Most health insurance companies cover breastfeeding classes, however they typically need to have a live component. Since this is fully self paced, most insurance companies won't cover it, however if you upgrade to 1:1 consults you may be able to utilize insurance
  • I don’t want to waste my money on a class that doesn’t help.
I hear you. There are so many generic breastfeeding classes that focus on surface-level tips and leave moms frustrated when things don’t go as planned. That's why this is designed to be a small investment with big impact -- you'll walk away knowing if what you're experiencing is normal and having a plan for simple changes OR you'll get confirmation there are unique complications and you deserve expert guidance. This class is designed to help you decide what your next step should be CONFIDENTLY.
  • What if I just end up needing formula anyway?
This class isn’t about making you feel guilty if breastfeeding doesn’t go perfectly—it’s about giving you real solutions so you can make informed choices. If supplementation becomes necessary, we can work together to teach you how to do it in a way that protects your breastfeeding relationship (instead of sabotaging it).
  • I've already talked to my doctor & a lactation consultant, but they said there's nothing wrong...
If you're gut says breastfeeding shouldn't be THIS hard, but you're feeling frustrated, confused, and like something NEEDS to change, odds are the providers you worked with just didn't have the right tools and training to give you the support you deserve. This course is not intended to be a magic wand or quick fix, but rather help you understand WHY you're experiencing whatever symptoms you're struggling with. When we understand the WHY we can implement SOLUTIONS, not just bandaid fixes or waiting and watching. And the sad TRUTH is most doctors and many lactation consultants don't know how to get to the ROOT CAUSE of feeding issues. That's why this class is different. We teach you to work WITH your baby.

  • How do I get this covered by insurance?
Most health insurance companies cover breastfeeding classes, however individual plans vary greatly and you would have to check to see if your plan covers code S9443 for breastfeeding classes. After you purchase the course (pay in full or pay all three months of payment plan) you will be able to request your SUPERBILL. You will receive a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible full or partial reimbursement. While we do not guarantee reimbursement, we are happy to help you seek reimbursement any way possible.
  • Is this for pregnant moms or breastfeeding moms who already gave birth?
Both!!! The sooner you learn all the wisdom inside of Latching with Confidence the better, but it's never too late! This class is amazing for pregnant moms who want to feel confidently prepared for breastfeeding and it's amazing for moms who are struggling and don't know what else to do, but aren't quite ready to give up either.
