High-quality prenatal vitamins that taste delicious? Needed’s new prenatal gummy vitamins are a game changer!

As a lactation consultant, I work with a lot of women who are pregnant and preparing for breastfeeding. It’s not uncommon to learn moms are struggling to pick a quality prenatal vitamin that they can stick with, especially because it’s recommended that they continue taking a prenatal during postpartum while breastfeeding.

Because so many moms have a hard time picking a prenatal that is both high quality and palatable, many of the holistic moms I meet try to focus on just eating well. See, what most people don’t realize is that the average American doesn’t get truly adequate nutrition from diet alone and 95% of women are depleted in at least one key nutrient needed during pregnancy.

When we’re pregnant out babies draw from our nutritional stores and diet. That’s great for them – but if we’re not mainitianing our own nutrient levels, we as moms end up nutitionally depleted. That depletion can impact our energy, mood, skin, milk supply, hair, and hormonal health. As a holistic lactation consultant, and a mom who personally struggled to find quality  prenatals that make a difference, helping moms find a prenatal that meets their needs is very important to me.

Choosing a good prenatal vitamin

We all know we’re supposed to be taking prenatal vitamins during pregnancy, but if you’re anything like me, finding a “good” one seems impossible. There is a wide variation in price, quality, and nutrient levels.

That’s why I recommend Needed’s line of Prenatals, including their new Prenatal Multi Gummies, when pregnant clients as me which prenatal vitamins are best.

Are prenatal gummy vitamins a good choice?

Many mothers struggle with taking pills in pregnancy, don’t like the taste of vitamins, and their ongoing nausea makes traditional prenatal vitamins feel like a non-option. This leads many moms I work with to look for gummy vitamins because they are usually a little more palatable and easier to take on a regular basis. The catch? Most prenatal gummy vitamins are limited in the amount of nutrition they contain.

Needed’s new Prenatal Multi Gummy was designed to help close that gap.

Needed spent four years working to make a prenatal gummy that’s both genuinely tasty, easy to stay consistent with, and deliver more of the nutrients your body needs during pregnancy and postpartum. Here’s what your prenatal vitamin should be doing for you before, during, and after pregnancy:

The purpose of prenatals before pregnancy

If you are planning to get pregnant soon, starting a prenatal vitamin before conception is important to give your body a strong nutritional foundation from day 1.  During the months before pregnancy, it is crucial to support optimal hormone function. Nutrients associated with hormonal health include Vitamin A, Iodine, Selenium, and Zinc. You also want to ensure you are replenishing your body’s nutrient stores so you can have plenty of energy. That’s why B vitamins, Magnesium, and vitamin D are critical.

Once you conceive, the demands on your body increase quickly!

Prenatal Vitamins during the First Trimester

During the first trimester folate, choline, B12, and iodine are crucial for neural tube and early brain development*. Vitamin B6 and magnesium can help manage morning sickness symptoms*. Thes same nutrients also help our bodies with stress resilience. What does that mean? It means those sleepless nights and feeding issues can take a toll on us – but if we’re maintaining healthy nutrient levels, our bodies don’t react so dramatically to that exhaustion and we can stay calmer.

Prenatal Vitamins during Postpartum

The nutritional demand doesn’t stop once baby arrives. Breastfeeding demands not only 500 additional calories a day, but also allll those same nutrients baby needed during pregnancy, and some in even higher amounts than during pregnancy.

What makes Needed Prenatal Gummies the best option?

Needed’s Prenatal Multi gummies offer 4x more nutrition than the average leading prenatals and 8x the leading prenatal gummy!

They also offer 17 nutrients, including clinically studied dosages of key nutrients during pregnancy: Vitamin D, folate, and B6.

And even better? They’re made without synthetic dyes or food coloring, artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, or high fructose corn syrup which means they pass my rigid standards for nutritional recommendations with my clients.

Moral of the story? Prenatal vitamins are important, but most prenatals on the market today are simply not meeting the unique needs of modern mothers. Needed Prenatal Gummies are an exciting new option to meet your nutritional needs and your baby's nutritional needs without the inconvenience of hard-to-swallow capsules.
